Update Seafarer’s Profile/INDoS

Seafarer’s have to keep their profile upto date online with the details of all the courses they have done including pre-sea courses, Pre-Sea training and Advanced courses.

To do so, login to the seafarers profile @ http://220.156.189.33/esamudraUI/well.do?method=loadPage with your INDoS No and the password received through E-mail after Seafarer Registration. After logging in click on the Update Seafarer Profile.

After selecting the Update Seafarer Profile, a page appears with the tabs as given below

In the First tab Seafarer Details only few information can be updated and others can be updated in Request for Personal Details Correction in Seafarer Profile link, it is explained in Correction of INDoS/Seafarer’s Profile detailing the procedure for updating of INDoS information.

The next tab Educational details is the place to update the Educational details such as 10th grade and 12th grade details and if any previous courses were completed excluding the pre-sea training course.

Professional Training Details

In the next tab Professional Training details information regarding Pre-Sea training, Modular courses (Pre-Sea short term courses and Advanced courses) have to be updated including GOC-GMDSS. The tab should also be updated with the Sea Service details which includes the ship information.

The next tab Certificate should be updated with the Dangerous Cargo Endorsements and GMDSS Endorsement in the Certificate Endorsement link and also the details of any Certificate of Competency (if in possession).

The next tab Documents should be updated with the latest photograph and signature in the Upload Documents link, which will be used in any application made online through the DG Shipping website and also in the Admit card for the Exams. The tab should also be updated with the documents in possession consisting of CDC, INDoS and SID (if in possession) in the Authorise Documents link. Passport details can be added or updated using the Request to Add More/Update Existing Passport Details link. The Photograph and Signature which are to be updated in the Upload Documents link have specific guidelines and all are to be followed very closely. The same Photograph and Signature shall be used for applications of GMDSS Endorsement, CoC and DCE Advanced. Non-Compliance of the guidelines cause the application queried back for re-uploading again.

ALL THE ABOVE INFORMATION SHOULD BE UPDATED BY SEAFARER EVEN THOUGH THE MASTER CHECKER IS UPDATED BY THE APPROPRIATE INSTITUTIONS/COMPANY. THE SEAFARER IS ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CORRECTNESS AND THE UPDATION OF THE INFORMATION IN THE MASTER CHECKER UPDATED BY DG/MMD/TRAINING INSTITUTE/COMPANY/MEDICAL CENTRE; THEREBY THE RESPECTIVE OFFICE IS TO BE CONTACTED IF THERE IS DISCREPANCY IN THE UPDATED/TO BE UPDATED INFORMATION.

MASTER CHECKER

The RPSL Companies are responsible for updating the Sea Service details of seafarers, the Training Institutes are responsible for updating the Training courses completed by the seafarer and the Medical Centre are responsible for updating the Medical Fitness information of the Seafarer. If a seafarer finds any required data missing in his Master checker the respective Office is to be contacted and updated. Sea Service information can be updated by the company only within 15 days after the date to be updated.

After completion of updating the profile can be printed out with the Click to View and Print Your Profile button.
